I grew up in Santa Fe, NM. When the town was a small bohemian art community my mother was a painter and my direction and my environment drew me toward the arts.
I started my career as a potter by making a few bowls for my own kitchen. Now, almost 50 years later, I still follow these interests in art and clay.

1966-77 The Pot Shop 942 Canyon Road.
My production pottery shop produced original one of a kind dinnerware, lamps, and large planters. All wheel thrown, fired to cone 10 in homemade kilns.
1978 I moved to Galisteo and began to explore using wild clays and unrefined pigments that I dug by hand from the historic clay quarry nearby.
1970-present I work with the native clays and minerals, making murals and sculptures. Also I teach a few workshops and give private leasons on working with the wild clays.
